It’s time for the 2024 Ma Murray Awards!

The BCYCNA Ma Murray Awards are an opportunity to recognize the achievements of the association’s 90+ member newspapers in British Columbia and Yukon. Dedicated to celebrating excellence amongst our member newspapers, we have been hosting the Ma Murray Community Newspaper Awards for almost a century! This annual Awards Gala includes awards in 45 categories, covering all aspects of the newspaper industry, including production, publishing, reporting, editing, advertising, photography, website design and community contribution.

The planning for this year’s Ma Murray Awards is well underway. We’re thrilled to announce that we plan to be back in person at the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver, and the big day will be Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 6pm to late!

Not only will we get to celebrate all of your excellent work together in person again, but we’ll be at an all new state-of-the-art venue! This will truly be a party to remember.

As always, the top three finalists in each category will receive a certificate of their achievement, with the winners receiving a stunning trophy to proudly display in your newsroom or lobby.
